ANNOUNCING SAM GLASER’S HALLEL CD RELEASE
and the ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE WORLD TOUR

Recording artist Sam Glaser, an award-winning Los Angeles-based composer and performer of contemporary Jewish music, kicks off his new world tour with the release of Hallel.

Over two years in the making, Hallel is a jubilant musical experience that expresses mankind’s ultimate joy and deepest gratitude. Marking his twentieth CD release, Glaser reaches new heights with his heartfelt compositions, rich baritone voice and detailed production. Incorporating the full text of the Hallel Service, the climax of the prayers on most Jewish holidays, the Psalms of King David take on a new life within sophisticated new settings. The innovative arrangements feature Sam and his eight-piece band, strings, adult and children’s choirs and an array of guest vocalists.

On the news front, Sam’s childrens CD Soap Soup just won the coveted John Lennon Songwriting Competition. This prestigious award is added to the many others that the bestselling CD has earned, including Parent’s Choice, Children’s Music Web, The National Association of Parenting Publications and the International Songwriting Competition.

Last year’s release, Sam Glaser’s Rockin’ Chanukah Revue also won a Parent’s Choice award this year. This is an unusual distinction for a Jewish CD to be acknowleged in this competition. During the Chanukah season the Attitude of Gratitude tour will revisit Sam’s Rockin’ Chanukah Revue material in a three week rockin’ road show of the East Coast. Jewish Life Television (www.jewishlifetv.com) will be featuring a Sam Glaser Chanukah TV Special that will air on Time Warner Cable nationwide in December.

Pianist/Vocalist Glaser will travel to over fifty cities from September 2008 through September of 2009 on the Attitude of Gratitude Concert Tour, performing in concert, leading weekend programs and acting as keynote speaker. He will be featured in three concert formats: intimate solo performances, concerts with the Sam Glaser band and spectaculars with a full orchestra. New to the concert options is “Howling at the New Moon,” an interactive musical service where the complete Hallel CD is performed live with the entire community participating as the choir.

Considered one of the top ten Jewish artists in the U.S. by Moment Magazine, Sam’s soulful music has become part of the fabric of Jewish life in communities worldwide. He performs for the widest array of audiences of any Jewish touring artist; his devoted fans range from those in the Reform and Conservative movements to the Modern Orthodox and Chassidim. While he frequently performs in synagogues and Jewish Community Centers, he has given concerts in such venues as L.A.’s Staples Center, Greek Theater, Universal Amphitheater and Dodger Stadium, New York’s Town Hall and Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans. Sam concertizes each summer in Israel and has performed worldwide in Australia, Europe and Hong Kong.

“Some consider Sam Glaser to be the hardest working man in Jewish music today. With over 20 albums under his belt and his annual fifty city concert tour which plays for over 100,000 fans, we think that Sam has earned the title.”
–Jewish Music Group Online

"Sam Glaser is the most prolific and consistently excellent composer of Jewish music alive. His compositions encourage Jews at all levels of awareness to embrace and celebrate their heritage. The music is delicate, intricate, exuberant, and celebratory."
–Mat Gurman, (Session Guitarist, Beach Boys, Back Street Boys, k.d. lang)

“I have all his CDs…Sam Glaser brings new life to Jewish music.”
–Kirk Douglas
